I've been there. I know how it feels to be in survival mode.
For a long time, I thought I had to be someone else to belong. I held myself back, stayed in the background, and learned early on that being “too much” wasn’t safe. So I adapted. I people pleased. I controlled everything I could.
I swallowed my thoughts, my truth, my needs, and disconnected from what I actually felt. From the outside, I looked strong. I was the one who figured things out, who kept going, who held everything together. But inside, something was always missing. I felt disconnected from myself, stuck in my head, constantly thinking, rarely feeling. My body never truly felt safe. There was a quiet tension underneath everything, a sense of never fully arriving.
I tried to fill that space in so many ways. Emotional eating, shopping, chasing a feeling of “finally being okay.” But nothing really touched the depth of what I was actually longing for, which was to feel at home in my own body.

In 2025, I followed a deeper pull and moved to another country on my own. No plan, just trust. From the outside, it looked like freedom. But my body was still holding so much. Tension. Control. Survival. That’s when I stopped trying to fix myself and started going deeper. Into my body. Into the truth. Through inner child work, energy work, and somatic practices, I began to release what I had been carrying for years, much of it not even mine. I learned how to stay with myself. How to feel. How to create safety from within instead of searching for it outside. Today, I feel grounded in myself. I trust my voice. I express my truth. I no longer hold myself back or make myself smaller to be accepted.
Not because everything is perfect, but because I am no longer abandoning myself. This is the work. And it changes everything.
